Nana’s shortbread (two)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup icing sugar
  • 1 cup white flour
  • 3/4 cup of butter

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cream butter in a large bowl using the back of a wooden spoon against the side of the bowl to “cream” the butter.
  3. Add other ingredients.
  4. Beat all with an electric beater/mixer until combined  – but don’t over beat or butter will start to melt.
  5. Roll into small balls. Flatten with fork or a glass with a cut design bottom or a shortbread stamp.
  6. Add decorations if desired.
  7. Bake cookies for 15 -20 minutes directly on cookie sheet. Watch carefully.
