Mum’s Japanese Chicken Wings

Sauce

  • 3 tbsp. Soya sauce
  • 3 tbsp. Water
  • 1 cup White sugar
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Wings

  • 3 lbs. Chicken wings
  • 1 beaten Egg
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Butter (or oil for frying/browning)
  1. Cut wings in half.
  2. Dip in slightly beaten egg and then in flour.
  3. Fry until brown and crisp.
  4. Put in shallow roasting pan and pour sauce over wings.
  5. Bake at 350° for 1/2 hour, spoon sauce over wings during cooking.
